G’day! I’m Jen
The teacher behind Wild and Clever.

I truly believe every child is clever — in their own wild and wonderful way.

I’m a literacy specialist, an Orton-Gillingham–trained educator, and a big believer in the quiet magic of learning. I’ve supported children across all stages of their literacy journey — from those just beginning, to those who’ve been told they’re behind, to those who simply need a different kind of support.

I’ve homeschooled. I’ve advocated. I’ve sat on both sides of the screen.

I also bring lived experience to this work. I understand dyslexia, ADHD, and autism — not just from study and training, but from real life. I know how important it is to feel seen, understood, and supported.  My teaching is structured, gentle, and responsive. I break big skills into small steps, teach with clarity, and always move at a pace that works for your child.

I believe in celebrating quirks, honouring strengths, and helping confidence grow quietly and steadily.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Support

At Wild and Clever, we provide calm, consistent instruction tailored to each learner. We teach in ways that are clear, consistent, and designed to stick—breaking skills into small steps, circling back when needed, and always moving at a pace that works for your child.

Our approach is evidence-informed and grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach. It’s structured, responsive, and proven to support a wide range of learners—not just those with learning differences, but all children who benefit from clarity, routine, and thoughtful repetition.

This is a space where children are recognised for who they are.
A space where quirks are welcomed, strengths are celebrated, and clever comes in many forms.

With care, with clarity, and an evidence-informed plan—together, we grow clever.
